Nominee for Best Animated Feature in the 2010 Academy Awards, The Secret of Kells is a new level of psychedelic animation, cinema and visionary art:
What does it mean to be human and alive?
The thousands of different cultures and languages on Earth have compellingly different answers to that question. “We are a wildly imaginative and creative species,” declares Wade Davis, and then proves it with his accounts and photographs of humanity plumbing the soul of culture, of psyche, and of landscape.
A 2 hour presentation by the eminent ethnobotonist, explorer and cultural anthropologist, Wade Davis, with exquisite photography of the dynamic human spirit from diverse cultures of the world.

Erik Davis has had a lot of very interesting podcasts recently on his show, Expanding Mind. I recently enjoyed listening to the Mark Pesce and RU Sirius interviews as well as the one with Richard Doyle, professor of (science &) Rhetoric at Penn State and Berkely and author of On Beyond Living, Wetwares and soon to be published The Ecodelic Hypothesis: Plants, Rhetoric and the Evolution of The Noösphere.
As time incessantly passes it seems to become more difficult to fathom the immensity of Terence McKenna’s contributions to the human story. I feel to be at an increasing loss of words to speak of the profundity that his perfectly articulated insights have catapulted the entire cradle of future generations into a more perfect actuality.
Slightly abridged Hakim Bey poem from the book, The Temporary Autonomous Zone (TAZ), with motion graphics, soundtrack and voice by James Koehnline, 2001.
Very few have affected my life as much as Robert Anton Wilson. Watch this wonderful video if you are interested in time, science, philosophy, history or politics.
Scientists create monkey melodies inspired by the animals’ calls which had a calming effect, hinting at how human music may have evolved. The only human music they found that soothed the furry primates was Metallica.

Graham Hancock, best-selling author of Fingerprints of Gods, Message of the Sphinx, Underworld and Supernatural, also produced the following documenatries to accompany his books. In them, he explores the copious evidence of civilization that existed 12,500 years ago (7000 years older than we were all taught in school).
Underworld is in two 50 minute parts and follow him on dives down to ancient cities 50 – 250 feet below water off the coasts of India and Japan as well as ruins in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean that were all submerged during the end the previous ice-age, 10 -12,000 years ago.
The second documentary, Quest for the Lost Civilization, is in three 50 minute episodes and takes a look at how precessional astronomy was used purposefully and accurately in the architecture of ancient temples, pyramids and other sites, and the surprising message they all encoded.
Quest for the Lost Civilization (part 1) [the title incorrectly says part 2])
This is a 3 1/2 hour presentation given by Ananda Bosman for the 2009 Ayahuasca Conference. In it he covers his extensive research dealing with hyper-relativistic physics, endo-huasca, the pineal gland, ancient esoteric history, the 128 Soma plants of the Rig Veda, the entheogenic origins of language, time & the I Ching, and much much more. I found a few falsehoods which are presented as fact in the presentation but I still have to say that I have hardly ever seen such significant aspects of the cosmic-human story woven together and revealed so thoroughly. My mind is utterly blown after seeing this. The work Ananda has been doing for the past 20 years is massively profound. (He also helped design the visuals of the trip scenes in Blueberry aka Renegade!)
I was skeptical while watching the long introduction which sounded like a lot of psuedo-science and meta-physical hyperbole but once he begins using the images and animations during the main body of the talk I was flabergasted and extremely happy that I persited past the first few videos.
[If you like Nassim Haramein's work you will love this presentation.]

Interesting documentary about the esoteric roots of the USAn Nation. Deals with Founding Fathers like Ben Franklin and secret societies and mystery schools such as the Rosicrucians and Francis Bacon’s involvement with the founding of the America as well as his successful endeavor to help produce the collected works of Shakespeare. Quite long, at 2 hours and 45 minutes, but fascinating information that may appeal deeply to some.
