System 7 consists of Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy (former members of 70′s prog-rock band, Gong) and have been releasing trance music since 1990. They frequently teamed up with other electronic giants over the years (Derrick May, Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, The Orb, Talvin Singhe, Greg Hunter to name a few) and they released a new collaboration album this year featuring Eat Static, Slackbaba, Son Kite and more, called Phoenix. The album is very nice and powerfully emotional with their trademark ethereal guitars and mature production values, the main reason for this post, however, is to share with you the superb animation in the music video to the first track on the Phoenix album, Hinotori:
